Zbigniew Namysłowski and Big band of PSM in Konin

 On  May 27th in Oskard at the end of the 25th Festival Jazzonalia performer Big band of PSM in Konin under the direction of Mr. Krzysztof Pydyński with an excellent saxophonist and composerZbigniew Namysłowski. The audience listened to Zbigniew Namysłowski's compositions, not only instrumental but also vocal. In one of the pieces, a student of PSM, Kinga Żelichowska, presented herself.

Konin Meets Herne.

On May 24th, in the Oskard,  the concert KONIN MEETS HERNE took place.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This year, the following bands performed in a jazz duel:

Big-band of PSM in Konin

Combo of Szymon Wieczorkiewicz

Combo of Paweł Zielak

Teachers Band from Herne

The large audience reward the performances of all musicians with thunderous applause.

Dariusz Przybylski at the 65th International Rostrum of Composers

Fontana di amore per nessuno. Omaggia a Pasolini (2017) for saxophones, boy soprano and orchestra by Dariusz Przybylski will represent Polish Radio during the 65th International Rostrum of Composers in Budapest. The International Rostrum of Composers (IRC) is organized by the International Music Council with the financial assistance of participating radio networks. It is an international forum of representatives of broadcasting organizations who come together for the purpose of exchanging and broadcasting contemporary art music.

Success of the choir

We are happy to announce that the Choir of PSM, working under the direction of Kamila Pacześna at the 10th National Festival of Musical School Choirs BEL CANTO in Ostrów Wielkopolski, won the Bronze Diploma.

Paderewski in Warsaw

Recently, our school organized an excursion to Warsaw for the exhibition "Paderewski" at the National Museum.  After visiting the exhibition tour participants visited The Church of the Holy Cross, where the heart of Fryderyk Chopin is buried and St. John's Archcathedral with the remains of premier and composer Ignacy Jan Paderewski. In the evening students and teachers hear the rarely performed Piano Concerto in Dflat Major by Jerzy Gablenz,  Ignacy Jan Paderewski - Overture for symphony orchestra and Dmitri Shostakovich - Symphony No. 1 in F Minor, Op. 10 at the Warsaw Philharmonic.

Koncert Inauguracyjny SOLO I KAMERALNIE

 W ramach XX Ogólnopolskiego Konkursu Pianistycznego 12 kwietnia o g. 18.30, w koncercie inauguracyjnym zatytułowanym „Solo i kameralnie” wystąpiła Joanna Marcinkowska –pianistka i pedagog – profesor Akademii Muzycznej w Poznaniu. Laureatka licznych konkursów międzynarodowych. Koncertowała w wielu krajach Europy, a także w Chinach i USA. W części pierwszej artystka wykonała kompozycje F. Chopina, w drugiej zabrzmiał Kwintet fortepianowy Es-dur J. Nowakowskiego. Artystce towarzyszyli znakomici muzycy: Joanna Kreft (skrzypce), Ewa Guzowska (altówka), Tomasz Lisiecki (wiolonczela), Szymon Guzowski (kontrabas).
